Fitbit Ultra Wireless Activity Plus Sleep Tracker Review

Is it possible that you have a sleep problem and not know about it?

Do you feel any of these symptoms?

  • having problems waking up in the morning
  • having problems getting up when you are awake
  • feeling tired or sleepy during the day
  • need constant refills of caffeine

Fitbit Ultra Wireless Activity Plus Sleep Tracker reviewHere is a basic fact – if you sleep for 7 or 8 hours, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have sleep problems.

Healthy sleep requires just the right balance between alpha sleep (stages when your body replenishes and repairs itself) and REM sleep (period when your brain repairs itself).

While trying to find the solution for my sleeping problems, I tried everything. I spent most of the time trying different mattresses and pillows. It’s strange, but I found some relief and I seem to sleep best on an air mattress that allows me to adjust the firmness.

So, from that point on I’ve been looking for the best air mattress for me. It’s actually how this website started in the first place. But after a while, I concluded that my sleeping arrangement were not the full story.

So I had to keep digging…

This is the basic problem – you can’t do this without visiting a sleep clinic or getting a sleep monitor. A sleep monitor allows you to follow your sleep patterns and measure them.

And what can be measured can be changed. So, let us review the product that I am using. This monitor allowed me to prove that I do, in fact, have a sleep problem and gave me the “spark” that I needed to address it.

  • It crumbled around the band after 6 months of use, I am trying to get it replaced…so far it seems the company is professional, and I will get my replacement…but, anyway, not something that I would expect from a product that costs this much…
  • It took getting used to wearing it…

My resume:

Let me say it right away – my experience with this product is great. It is used both for tracking your daily activity and your sleeping patterns.

I’ve bought one of these because I was always tired and tried so many beds and mattresses and was still feeling bad and tired, sometimes for whole days. So I decided to track my sleep and experiment what determined if I sleep good or bad.

It was a great decision.

I’ve used it to track what kind of activity results in a good night’s sleep for me, which mattress was the best for me, what kind of foods made me sleep poorly. So, I finally crafted a complete plan on what to do during the day to sleep good at night.

I honestly believe that it’s an essential for anybody with sleep problems. That was my primary use. Tracking of daily activities was a great plus.
