Summary:

This bed enters my top 10 in inflatable beds for toddlers, especially for travel. The only issue you might see is them insisting to sleep on it even when you get home. Great price point as well. Side rails for added safety and the convenience of tucking your child in. Fast electric pump inflates it in 30 seconds, tested free of any Phthalate, BpA and Lead fumes. In my book, a 5 star product.

I am doing this review following a special request to review more airbeds for toddlers.
When I started receiving these requests I realized that I have really neglected this section of the website and thought I’d start making amends for this wrong by reviewing this travel bed brought to us by Shrunks.
I honestly believe that this page contains everything and anything you might need to know before making an informed decision, so don’t look any further.
For those of you not very familiar with the concept of the website, what I do when reviewing an air bed is that I first take a look at what the company has listed as the bed features (there is usually a lot of bragging here).
The Shrunks Indoor Toddler Inflatable Travel BedThen I dig and research the internet for what the people who are actually using the bed are saying and try to find as much of them to contact and actually talk to asking for additional information I know are important. Then I make my judge on whether this might be the bed you are looking for.
Usually, internet is a great source for deals and you can make a much better buy by finding a deal online instead of just going into a Wal-Mart or something similar.
So, let us get right to it…

When you take a look at the sales webpage of this bed and see that it has a 4.5 stars, I know right away that this cannot be a bad product. But whether this is the right bed for your specific needs is another story, that is why I am here to ‘chew up’ the information and let you make an informed decision.

How the company describes the bed:

  • It has what they are saying is a unique signature feature that allows you to tuck in the sheets effortlessly and any crib sized sheet is suitable
  • No chance of your child falling off because of the security rails that are a trademark of the company
  • Time it takes to inflate is as low as 30 seconds
  • Comes with a great quality carry bag, a kit for any repairs needed and a powerful Jetaire pump
  • Major concern for parents when buying an air bed for a toddler are possible fumes from the material like Phthalate, BpA and Lead. This bed is fumes-safe.

Let us now take a look at the good reviews the bed has received from the end users – the PROs:

The Shrunks Indoor Toddler Inflatable Travel Bed2

  • Made way better than I expected, my 2 year old son slept on it for over a week with no need for reinflating the bed
  • Amazing comfort…my daughter becomes excited when she knows she will sleep on it…
  • This is my second travel bed I bought for my son…the first one leaked air all over the place…zero leakage with this one…
  • I blows up in seconds and the sides are nice and firm so that my daughter doesn’t roll over…we love it…
  • It worked exactly as advertised…
  • Exactly what I was looking for in an air bed for our travels…
  • Big enough for our son to sleep in probably until he is 5 or 6…quality of the making makes me feel like it was going to last that long no problem…
  • This was a great purchase for a great price, too…
  • This bed worked for us so good all-round that I could not think of a better solution…
  • Loving the air pads and how quick the pump is…
  • Amazing comfort and safety at this price…
  • I read every last reviews before I got this bed and it is everything I was hoping for…
  • I will be honest and say that it we were tired of our son sleeping with us on all our trips…this bed changed things completely, he loves it…
  • This product is A+++++++…
  • It is worth every dime we spent on it…
  • At first I was decisive at giving some of the better known brands a go with this buy but then I read the reviews and went for this one…it is perfect for my needs…

The CONs as per user reviews:

  • This is a good quality bed but my daughter is a very restless sleeper and her hand would get stuck between the mattress and the frame at times…
  • Mine arrived with a hole in it…contacted Shrunks and they responded immediately, they offered a replacement or a full refund…
  • The outside ring tends to deflate and I had to reinflate it every few days…
  • The smell of the plastic is very strong and I feel like it it stayed in the room for days…
  • I expected it to hold air better, because mine leaks and I need to reinflate every day

The resume

The Shrunks Indoor Toddler Inflatable Travel Bed3No product will work for everyone, especially when it comes to things as sensitive as air beds where as much as a needle sized hole can make your experience with a bed a negative one. But, when you see that a product has this many positive reviews, chances that this is not a good product are slim. But I researched and dug deep nevertheless.

When looking at products that are so highly rated it is important to find out about the customer service of the company. The high ratings mean that the flaws are an exception rather then a rule and this is where their customer service standards should step in.

What I found out was all good. they stand firm behind their warranty and advertising and have timely responses whether you want a replacement or a refund.

This seems like a good buy to me.
