Top 5 Best Rated Twin Inflatable Beds 2

Let’s talk about top rated inflatable beds in twin size, and see which of these make a solid investment and which ones are a waste of time, or even worse, waste of money.

It’s getting increasingly difficult to choose an air bed that’s just right for you. I know that for a fact.

Why?

Because there are more and more variables to be considered with every month that goes by. I am running this websites completely dedicated to air beds and spent most of my time researching and trying to stay on top of things and it’s hard even for me.

I can only imagine how it is for you to choose a quality product in this jungle.

First, here’s a table to make things easy. You’ll find the full descriptions below.

You might think: “But, I’ll just head over to forums and read the reviews…”

Well, it’s not so simple anymore. What if you read a review from 2012 and the company outsourced the making of that bed in the meantime. What if they chose an outsourcing location that changes the quality of the product?

You get my drift…

That’s why I do my best to stay on top of things for my readers (you) and only review and include products that maintain the quality standards.

I remove products every week from my website just because I learn new facts from some of my friends in the industry.

The bottom line is – rest assured that any of the inflatable beds reviewed on my website are top notch.

Now that we got that out of the way and we have clarity on what we are looking at here, let’s get down to business.

In this guide I will filter through 100s of twin air beds and choose top five.

But first things first – what’s the size of a twin inflatable bed.

Take a look at the chart below:

Now let’s bite into the meat of this guide and start naming names of winners – the best of the best.

Main PROs as per the users of this inflatable bed:

  • By far the best air mattress I’ve ever had…
  • I’ve seen almost zero leaks with this bed, I only add air once per week…
  • Inflates in a matter of minutes, just plug and play…
  • Comfortable and no sinking to the middle of the bed, unlike my old air mattress…
  • Sturdy, firm edges…
  • Worth every penny, just as comfortable as my conventional mattress…
  • I was in a traffic accident a year ago and tried 3 different mattresses since then… this is my permanent solution and if it leaks in time, I’ll just buy it again, totally worth it…
  • Inflates in minutes and deflates even faster…
  • Packs small and it’s easy to store, great for trips…
  • Gave this as a gift to my father in law and he mentions it every time he comes around…
  • I like the height, makes it easier to get in and out, especially for seniors…
  • I got a good mother-in-law rating, if you know what I mean 🙂
  • Nice solid construction, just as firm on the edges as in the middle…
  • Loving the plush top, no sheets slippage…
  • My 90 years young mother wanted to take it home with her after sleeping on it while staying with us…
  • Packs very small, about 2 x 3 inches…

CONs of this inflatable as per the users:

  • it started to leak at one of the seams within a few months, returned it and I’m waiting for the replacement
  • It spreads a rubbery odor for days…

My review digest:

This bed is one of the best air mattresses to hit the market this decade, no doubt about that.

Two things make or break a bed – comfort and how well it holds air.

Even the customers with negative reviews say it’s comfortable, so we can get that out of the way right away – it’s very comfortable.

Now the air leak cases – this is a bit more tricky. Over time I developed a system to recognize a good inflatable mattress from crap that would be a pancake every morning. It’s simple, it is based on the ratio between positive and negative reports.

That’s how I know if a bed has a real issue that’s a deal-breaker, or it’s a matter of people getting flawed pieces. With this inflatable, it’s the later. By default, it will hold air great and remains sturdy and firm for days of every night use. If this is not the case, it’s a flawed product and you should just replace it.

I know from experience that Aerobed stands behind their products and the customer service is friendly, so replacements should not be an issue.

Overall,  9.6 out of 10 stars from me for this product. Exciting arrival to the market, kudos to the company on this one.

2. Serta Raised Inflatable Bed review

Serta Raised Bed with Never Flat Pump twin review

PROs of this inflatable mattress:

  • extremely comfortable, loving the rolled edges, it’s like a nest…
  • much better and sturdier than the 2 air mattresses I previously owned
  • A bargain…
  • Fast delivery and very comfortable, just as high as a regular mattress…
  • Holds air great, even with my two crazy small ones jumping on it every day, I add air once or twice a week max…
  • I don’t really see the difference between this and my overpriced regular mattress…
  • I have been using it for 13 months now and I’ve seen almost no problems with it…
  • Sleeps just like a nice regular bed and holds air like a vault…
  • After trying this Serta, there’s no going back to other brands for me…
  • Exactly as advertised, which is rare nowadays…
  • The pump is really fast, inflates in minutes…
  • Super quick to set up and take down…

CONs of this inflatable bed:

  • the pump malfunctioned on the second use, wouldn’t deflate…sending this thing back…
  • developed a slow leak over time and I can’t find it…

My review digest:

One more of the best rated inflatable beds, 100s of people rated it 5 stars.

This is a solid 8.5 out of 10 stars product in my book. I take all things into consideration here. Again, the main rating factors being comfort and how well it holds air.

Similar to the above, cases of this inflatable leaking air statistically suggest that it’s exceptions rather than a real product flaw.

And at its price range, including this bed into the top 5 in twin inflatable beds was a no-brainer.

PROs of this air bed as per the people using it:

  • I rate this bed full-on 5 stars, it’s just perfect, I’ve had it for months and have seen no problems with it…
  • Holds air so well that you forget that it’s an inflatable…
  • I like how it doesn’t sink in the middle, my wife and I were struggling with this with our old air bed, we would wake up in the middle of the night just to find ourselves stuck in the middle of the bed, sweating and struggling…this bed holds it’s firmness on the edges, too, just like a regular mattress…
  • Pumps up and down in minutes…
  • My uncle and aunt could not stop talking about how comfortable it is in the morning, I am thinking of getting them one for Christmas…
  • Sleeps so comfortable, holds air…I have no complaints about this inflatable bed so far…
  • I’ve owned 3 inflatables before and this one is by far the best, quiet and comfortable…I rate it full 5 stars…
  • I’m impressed how easy it is to use and store…
  • So firm and reliable…but if you top it with a memory foam top, then there’s really no difference between this and a conventional mattress…
  • I’ve been sleeping on this since my lower back surgery. I like the support it gives me, I experimented with the firmness levels and found one that’s just right…
  • I did a lot of research online among the top rated in inflatable beds and finally choose this bed. After 6 months I know that I’ve made the right decision…
  • I works just as advertised, worth every dollar I paid for it…

CONs of this inflatable bed:

  • I had problems filling it up to it’s full firmness setting…
  • It arrived with a big hole on the side, I’ve been trying to get a hold of a company representative but the line is always busy…
  • I have to add air every second night…

My review digest:

The very fact that this bed is on the list of top rated means that it has to live up to the expectations, HAS TO.

Let’s get one thing straight, after all this is an air bed and there’s a much bigger chance that you might receive a product that had defects out of the factory or was damaged in the mail. With the beds on this list, you can be sure, that if this happens it’s worth replacing it.

The pump is good and fast, one of the better pump technologies on the market, the construction of the chambers makes for even weight distribution, firmness can be adjusted, overall very good. The rating of this bed clearly show that an at its price point, this bed is a steal. I know of inflatable that are priced much higher but offer the same quality.

This Insta fully deserves it’s place on this list, I am sure of it.

4. Coleman Double-High Quickbed Inflatable review

PROs of the inflatable as per customers:

  • Looks pretty good and it’s very gentle to the skin, and so far no leaks in the 6 months I’ve been using it…
  • Holds the sheets and sleeps very comfy…
  • Great value for money…
  • Sturdy and durable, unlike my previous inflatable…
  • This is a great air bed for car camping, hasn’t failed me once in 3 years…
  • The pump is super fast and easy to operate…
  • Great job Coleman with this one, super comfy and easy to handle…
  • I just lay down to test it and ended up sleeping through the night, loving my new bed…
  • It takes very little space when packed, just the kind of inflatable I was looking for my camping…
  • The kids love it…

CONs of the bed:

  • Pump non included…this adds to the cost…
  • Has this strange odor that spreads around the house for days…
  • I am seeing all these great reviews and then I receive a punctured bed…I hope it’s a fluke and the replacement is as good as advertised…
  • I had to add air every night…

My review digest:

Great choice for a twin bed, I stand behind my word on this one. Like with the other beds, you will always see reviews of people with negative experiences. When you look at the positive reviews and some of the negative, it’s easy to get confused.

Some of these are a matter of taste and some are a temporary thing (like the rubbery smell). I don’t pay too much attention to those since they are not real substance, and are not something to judge a bed by.

I take a look at how well it holds air and how comfortable it is. I count the positive reviews and the negative ones and then calculate a ratio. Over the years, I’ve developed very specific criteria on whether there’s a real issue or the people reporting leaks simply received a flawed product.

This bed is well in the “green area” of that ratio.

Conclusion – a good solid choice of a twin bed, especially at its price range.

PROs of the bed as per the end users:

  • 2 years now since I got this bed and it’s as good as new, heavy duty thing…
  • I am big dude and this bed holds air like a champ, even under my 350 pounds…I add air just once a week…
  • I can’t even count the numbers I set it up and folded it back down probably hundreds of times over the years, it works as well as the first time…
  • Just a great bed for those who have back problems like me, great support and still comfortable…
  • Extra heavy duty, perfect for camping…
  • Best value for money I’ve seen in an air bed. I can say that confidently because this is like my 5th inflatable…
  • So easy to handle, inflate and deflate…
  • A breeze to pack and carry…

CONs as per the users:

  • wish they offered a color choice, not a fan of this military style…
  • the pump wouldn’t charge, returned it and waiting for a new one…

My review digest:

Probably the most durable bed on the market today. I know the material and there’s virtually no chance of punctures unless you stumble on a nail on your camping.

So well made that chances of air leaks are so low that if they do happen, it’s always a case of a product that is either flawed out of the factory or damaged in mailing.

Best for campers and people with back problems (my co-sufferers).

Overall, amazing value for money.

What is your opinion of the Frontgate EZ twin bed?
    Thanks
    Judy

      Hi Judy,

From what I know and read it seems like a good bed but I simply don’t know enough to make my final judgement.

The method I’ve been using to rate air beds relies heavily on users ratings and reviews but Frontgate has those on their own platform on their own website and these can easily be gamed and changed to their liking. I am not saying that they are doing it but I cannot be sure they are not. That’s why Frontgate hasn’t made it to any of my rating lists.

personally, if I was in the market for a mattress of this kind I would go for one of the following two – Insta EZ or Serta EZ (inclining a bit more towards the Insta).

You can see them both here: http://www.bestairmattressguide.com/150-300-top-5-best-rated-air-mattresses/

These are both classics that have passed all the tests of time and users for me to be comfortable in recommending them.

      Thanks for reaching out
